A Blessing in Disguise
Someone pretends to be happy. Maybe not quite happy, but wearing the appearance of a normal person living a normal life, to others around them, while inside they are being crushed. It comes to them at night, or on silent hours, when there is nothing to distract the thoughts and whispers that discourage them. A few tears leak out each day, because they want to just let it all go. An easier route would be suicide. Yes, wouldn’t that be a quick and simple solution to all the pressures and troubles of life? To them, death is eternal silence, to not know or remember anything – having no past, present, or future. Then a thought crosses their mind. What is life then? A spark that came from no where. A chance, or one time opportunity. If everything eventually dies in the end, why does it matter – not only why does it matter to try, but why do the pressure and stresses matter? Why does it matter if someone fails in life, or loses everything. Everything is lost in the end anyway. So why not just play this game for the time being, just because one can.

Life is like spending a day in an amusement park. Every one has to leave when the park closes. Whether or not we try all the rides and try everything else is up to us. We could go in and sit there all day and then leave at the end of the day. We could also play everything the park has.
But at the end, we all leave the park. Is it meaningless if we don’t try all the rides ? I don’t think so. Even an observer has their purpose. Someone could go in the park and just observe and walk around. There is no rules saying that we have to try certain rides to make the trip worthwhile.
As long as we think it is worthwhile, even sitting around doing nothing could be worthwhile. Because you spent the day the way you wanted it to. Life is really a game, play whatever way you want, make it whatever you want. When the sky turns dark, it would be too late to try out other rides even if we want to, ’cause they would be closed by then.
Sure, one can leave the amusement anytime, before the day ends, before their allowed time is up. They can leave, but their friends would be sad because they can’t take the ride with you. A real party-pooper. But at the end of the day, all of your friends will join you and leave the park. So it doesn’t matter either way. What matters is you would be missing out the fun. But if that doesn’t bother you, no one will stop you from leaving. They maybe unhappy for a brief moment, but they will get on with the ride of their life.
It’s kind of cruel in a sense but that’s just life. Is it love if someone is willing to leave the park with you, giving up the fun for you, when you are determined to leave? Or is it just blind devotion?
